Texland Petroleum L.P. is a privately held corporation founded in 1973 by R. J. (Bob) Schumacher, (deceased) and W. E. (Bill) Rector (deceased). From its inception, the goals of Texland have been to explore for and develop the kind of oil and gas reserves that form a broad, long-term production base. Particularly, Texland has concentrated on developing oil reserves in comparatively large fields that are amenable to waterflooding and possibly to EOR recovery techniques in the future.
Texland currently operates around 1100 wells in the North Rim and Central Basin Platform Provinces of the Permian Basin. All company projects are closely monitored to insure that the efficiency of each flood is maximized. Our field operations are among the most efficient and cost effective in the region. Texland has waterflood experience in a variety of reservoirs, including Grayburg, San Andres, Glorieta, Clear Fork, Abo, and Dean Sand. The experience gained in installing and managing these projects over the past 50 years places Texland among the most experienced waterflood operators in the region.
