How do I change my address?

Complete and return the Change of Address Form (PDF) according to the instructions on the form. If you do not have access to a printer, please write out all the requested information from the form on a letter sized sheet of paper according to the instructions on the form.

How do I enroll in direct deposit (ACH)?

Complete and return the ACH form (PDF) according to the instructions on the form.

I’m enrolled in ACH; How do I get Check Details?

You can access your check details on EnergyLink’s website (operated by Enverus), If you don’t have an account, you can sign up here. Energylink.com/Public/Signup.aspx.

How do I sell my working interest or royalty interest?

Where do I find my owner number?

Your owner number can be located on your division order, check detail and in the Account Number box on your 1099Misc form.

I received an Unclaimed Property (Escheat) letter. What do I need to do?

Please complete the claim form at the bottom of the letter to the best of your ability. If you do not know your owner number, please submit the last 4 of your Social Security Number or Tax ID Number that is associated with the account. This is time sensitive, so please return the claim form via mail to the address above or email to unclaimedproperty@texpetro.com as soon as possible.

When will I receive my 1099Misc form?

1099Misc forms will be mailed at the end of January to the current address on file. If you have a new address, please complete, and return a Change of Address form (PDF) before December 31st to ensure your address is updated in time. If you have not received your 1099 by March 1st, please send an email to 1099@texpetro.com. Also, you can access your 1099s on EnergyLink’s website (operated by Enverus), If you don’t have an account, you can sign up here. Energylink.com/Public/Signup.aspx.

What is needed for corporate name changes?

For a simple name change, provide a copy of the Certificate of Name Change. If the change is the result of a merger, submit a Certificate of Merger. You will need to provide a new Fillable Form – W9.

What is needed for Powers of Attorney, Agents, and Legal Guardianships?
  • Provide a recorded copy of the Power of Attorney if an owner has appointed an attorney-in-fact.
  • Provide a recorded copy of the Agency Agreement if an owner has appointed an agent.
  • Provide a recorded copy of the Letters of Guardianship if an owner is a child, has been declared by a court to be incompetent or incapacitated or is otherwise deemed by a court to require a court-supervised legal guardian.
What is needed for Trusts?

Upon the creation of a trust, provide a copy of the trust agreement (or the Memorandum of Trust) and the conveyance which transferred the interest to the trust, and which has been filed of record in the county where the property is located.

To record this instrument, you can access the National Association of Counties to locate the contact information for the county clerk’s offices.

Upon the termination of a trust, provide a copy of the Dissolution of Trust and the recorded conveyance which transferred the trust’s interest to the beneficiaries.

 

What is needed for a change of Trustee?
  • Copy of the Trust Agreement and any Trust Amendments
  • Copy of the instrument whereby the successor trustee was appointed (i.e., death certificate, resignation of trustee, appointment of trustee)
How do I transfer interest due to the death of an owner with a will in Texas?

If the owner had a will and it was or will be probated in the state of mineral interests, please provide a copy of the following:

  • Death Certificate
  • Letters Testamentary or Letters of Administration (not given in Muniment of Title)
  • Order Admitting Will to Probate
  • Last Will & Testament
  • Conveyance Deeds to heirs/beneficiaries or Trust, if applicable
  • W-9 form (PDF) for each heir/beneficiary of Trust with current address

For proper chain of title, we strongly recommend you record the probate documents in the county where the interest resides.

How do I transfer interest due to the death of an owner with a will in New Mexico?

If the owner had a will and it was or will be probated in the state of mineral interests, please provide a copy of the following:

  • Death Certificate
  • Ancillary Probate in New Mexico
  • W-9 form (PDF) for each heir/beneficiary of Trust with current address

How do I transfer interest due to the death of an owner without a will?

If the owner did not have a will or is not probating a will, please provide a copy of the following:

What is needed when there has been a purchase or sale of interest?

Provide a copy of the conveyance (such as a deed, assignment, or bill of sale) filed of record in the county where the property is located.

To record this instrument, you can access the National Association of Counties to locate the contact information for the county clerk’s offices.

What is needed for personal name changes?

Provide a copy of the court order supporting the requested name change (such as a divorce decree which reinstated the owner’s maiden name) or a copy of a marriage certificate and a revised W-9.
